Emerald Buddha

A small statue of the meditating Gautama Buddha, carved from a green stone often identified as jasper or jade, stands about 26 inches tall. The figure is dressed in gold clothing and is regarded as a sacred symbol of Thailand’s spiritual heritage.

This image is kept within the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, located inside the Grand Palace complex in Bangkok. The temple’s richly decorated interior provides a setting that highlights the statue’s religious significance and craftsmanship.
